Completely designed by Tecnoseal, backplates facilitate the installation of sacrificial anodes, as planned.
Made from the same material as the hull, they offer easy welding and are essential for the protection of aluminum hulls.
What characterizes this accessory is that it has a base made of the same material as the hull, and to ensure perfect conduction, the pins are made of steel.
Steel backplates, on the other hand, are indicated based on specific assessments made when designing the cathodic protection pian or based on the specific needs of the yard.
The accessories section also includes the recesses manufactured by Tecnoseal in mechanical aluminum and iron or steel.
Their key characteristic is that they are fabricated from a piece of solid bar material without any welding, which means that there is no need for providing a specific certification.
Each type of anode can be supplied with its appropriate rubber gaskets.
lf the design requires the use of rubber gaskets; these are supplied with the sacrificial anodes.
Their use depends essentially on the boundary conditions of the anode mass calculation, in particular, on hull material, the paint coating used and the anode’s location.
Finally in special types of designs, when an anode is required to protect a specific metal part, insulators are fabricated from high dielectric strength materials.
This type of accessory is custom-made according to the needs of the customer and the specificity of the project.
lnsulators are typically used for the protection of metal parts installed on carbon hulls.
