SAVE THE DATE - Summer
With the end of June and the beginning of July, we enter the height of the summer season and, as usual, the scheduled nautical events decrease considerably, only 11 divided into two months (less than those that took place in June). In today's Save The Date, we will deal, therefore, with both the month of July and August, taking advantage of the opportunity to catch our breath in view of a September that promises to be more challenging than ever.
I remind you that it is not our intention to define this calendar as "complete", but we will try to insert as many events as possible, as long as they concern the boating world. If you notice any lack or error, you will do us a huge favor to let us know so we can provide.
Wiatr i Woda (Wind and Water) On Water Boat Show --- July 18-21, 2019 --- Warsaw, Poland
Western Boat Show --- July 19-21, 2019 --- Bristol, United Kingdom
Thames Traditional Boat Festival --- July 19-21, 2019 --- Henley-On Thames, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom
The month of July is certainly the most sacrificed. Only three events in the nautical sector. As if that were not enough, of two of these we had already spoken in the Save The Date of June. The terrible heat that occurred during the month must have struck us hard, pushing us to confuse June with July. In any case, few local events (all strictly outdoors) and lots of sunshine are all that we will have this month.
Sydney International Boat Show --- August 1-5, 2019 --- Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia
Maine Boats, Homes and Harbors Show --- August 9-11, 2019 --- Maine, Massachusetts, USA
Lendy Cowes Week --- August10-17, 2019 --- Cowes, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom
Uiva Flytande Helsinki --- August 15-18, 2019 --- Helsinki, Finland
The first half of August opens with what is certainly the most important event of the group: the Sydney International Boat Show 2019! We had dedicated an article to this event during 2018 (you can find it here) and we'll do equally this year. In the second weekend we will then have a fairly large event in Finland, dedicated above all to sailing boats and aimed at the whole Scandinavian peninsula, and a couple of modest local events in the United States and in England.
Brisbane Boat Show --- August 23-25, 2019 --- South Bank, Brisbane, Australia
Marstrand Boat Show --- August 23-25, 2019 --- Marstrand, Gothenburg, Sweden
All At Sea in Gustavsberg --- August 30 - September 1, 2019 --- Gustavsberg, Stockholm, Sweden
Boot und Fun Berlin inwater --- August 30 - September 1, 2019 --- Berlin, Germany
The last two weeks of August equally share the four remaining events, all of modest dimensions. The first is a second boat show in Australia, though decidedly less important than the one in Sydney. The second and third events are "connected" and both take place in Sweden, although in different locations. The first is a real boat show, while the second is more like an exhibition in the water. Just as it is an exhibition in the water the last expected event that acts as an "appetizer" for the Boot und Fun Berlin which will take place in November. For this summer so it's all, catch your breath because September is around the corner!
