ANODE OF THE WEEK 03
The need to protect the keel from the effects of galvanic corrosion forces to "sully" the hydrodynamic lines of the hull by installing anodes of any weight and shape that affect the performance of the boat.
To overcome this problem Tecnoseal has created an anode based on a particular aerodynamic profile called N.A.C.A. (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics), from the same US federal agency that has studied this form first.
The hydrodynamic anode allows to reduce the resistance to movement of a body immersed in water of fifteen times compared to a conventional anode. This also produces advantages of an economic nature and on the timing of construction of the hull since it is thus possible to avoid making keel recesses that would be indispensable if other types of anodes were installed.
In order to meet all market requirements, the hydrodynamic anode is produced in various sizes and alloys depending on the customer's requirements.
